Experience the enchanting beauty of Finnish Lapland with a 7-day stay in a cozy lakeside chalet in Vanttauskoski, a peaceful village with 250 residents. This charming chalet, suitable for up to 4/5 people, is situated just 4 km from the village center, where you can find a grocery store and a quick-service restaurant.


Your week is filled with unforgettable activities: embark on a thrilling dogsled ride, try ice fishing on the frozen lake, and enjoy serene walks along the lakeshore. Visit a local reindeer farm to learn about these majestic animals, explore the stunning Auttiköngäs Natural Park, and discover the magic of Santa Claus Village at your own pace. On two free days, relax or venture out to explore further. Unwind in a traditional Finnish sauna by the lake and, as night falls, keep an eye out for the mesmerizing Northern Lights, which are often visible right from your doorstep.


This 7-day getaway offers the perfect blend of adventure, culture, relaxation, and the chance to witness the breathtaking aurora borealis in the heart of Lapland.


What's included?

    What’s Included in Your Stay:

    • Accommodation: Stay in a charming lakeside cottage, located 50 km from Rovaniemi city center in the quaint village of Vanttauskoski. The 60 m² chalet features 1 bedroom, a living room, kitchen, toilet, bathroom, and a sauna (by the lake). The cottage will be fully privatized for your stay from Sunday evening to Saturday morning. A rental car (not included) is necessary for airport transfers, freedom during your free days, and grocery shopping.
    • Guided Activities:Husky Safari: Enjoy a thrilling 5 km husky safari, including lunch. In November, if there is no snow, the safari may take place on wheels.
      Reindeer Visit: Experience a visit to a local reindeer farm. Please note, in November, this activity may be canceled if the reindeers are not at the farm.
      Guided Lake Hike: Take a scenic 3 km round trip hike to the lake, guided by a local expert.
      Frozen Lake Fishing: Try your hand at fishing on a frozen lake for 30 minutes (not available in November).
      Santa Claus Village: Enjoy round-trip transport to Santa Claus Village to explore at your leisure.
      Natural Park Hike: Participate in a guided hike through a natural park, complete with a lunch break.
      1 Sauna Access: Relax in the lakeside sauna on either your first or second free day.
    • Transport to get to the different activities.
    • Guide: A bilingual guide (French and English) will accompany you during the scheduled activities.

    This package offers a balanced mix of guided adventures, relaxation, and cultural experiences, all set in the tranquil beauty of Lapland.

      • Flights: Airfare to and from Rovaniemi.
      • Meals: Meals are not provided, except during certain guided activities.
      • Optional Activities: Any additional activities or excursions not listed in the itinerary.
      • Warm Clothing Rental: Rental of winter clothing suitable for Lapland's cold temperatures.
      • Rental Car: A rental car is necessary but is not included in the package.
      • Airport Transfers: Transportation to and from the airport is not included

      Our stays are available to most people in a suitable state of health; Certain activities such as husky safari or short hikes to lakes or national parks can be stressful for some people. We do not accept pregnant women and children under 3 years old for the sled dog activity.

      You must come dressed in warm winter clothing for the activities. There are clothing rental companies if necessary in the city of Rovaniemi.

      We decide whether or not you can drive a sled, depending on your age, your physical condition, your attendance at driving explanations and your compliance with the rules; we reserve the right to decide at any time your ability to drive the sled for a simple breach of the driving rules (for example if you let go of the sled or do not brake enough) in this case, a guide will drive the sled to your place and you can sit in the sleigh. Our goal is the safety of our customers and our dogs.
